Executive Vice President, North American Automotive Finance Operations, Ally Financial

Tim Russi was named executive vice president of the North American Automotive Finance Operations in September 2009. He is responsible for overseeing the performance of the U.S. and Canadian automotive financing operations. Prior to this role, Russi was chief financial officer for Automotive Finance and Insurance and chief operating officer of the company’s North American auto finance business.

Russi reports directly to Ally Financial Inc. President Bill Muir.

Prior to joining GMAC in October 2008 in his role as COO, Russi worked for Cerberus Operations and Advisory Company as a senior advisor to GMAC. He assumed this role in early 2008 after serving as the President of Dealer Financial Services for Bank of America since 2004. Russi has more than 25 years of business and financial services industry experience including other executive roles in retained executive search, sales, leasing, consulting and public accounting.

Russi has a bachelor’s degree in managerial economics from the University of California at Davis. He is a certified public accountant and is Six Sigma certified.
